| Contec Group International Ltd. is a software development company based in New Zealand and operating internationally. The company operates two separate divisions, one associated with the Dairy Industry and the other being Library and Information Management. |
| Contec Dairy Industry Software |
| In the 1970's Contec developed
its first version of MADCAP (Milk Analysis Data Capture And Processing)
milk testing and milk quality software for the dairy industry. Written in
assembler, it was installed at the first of Contec's dairy client sites in
1974. MADCAP very quickly became a New Zealand dairy industry standard
system. Using its close association with local dairy companies, the
company refined and improved its dairy systems and today MADCAP is
installed at or servicing almost every major dairy product manufacturing
company in Australia and New Zealand. Major installations include SAITL
Dairy Lab, Bonlac, Kiwi, Kraft Foods, Nestlé.
The first installation in North America was made in January 1996 in Avonmore West Inc., Idaho. |
| Contec Library Systems Software |
| Contec has over 15 years'
experience in the implementation and support of computer systems in
public, education, corporate and other libraries.
In 1985, the company developed its CataList library system which has been installed in many sites, including public and polytechnic libraries. This was followed by the development in 1989/90 of a further library system, Image II, designed for special libraries, and for government and corporate information resource centers. Our current flagship library system, C2, is a Windows-based product and is "state-of-the art". Contec's library systems are installed in several hundred sites world-wide. Contec is a well-established software developer with many years of experience in the development of library system software, and has a strong development and support team of library and IT professionals and a large credible base of current library installations. The C2 system development centre achieved ISO 9001 certification. |
